A study in the Book of Revelation.
Seven weeks exploring the Book of Revelation. Revelation is an unveiling of Jesus Christ as the faithful witness. (The model of how to stand firm without compromise).He is the first born from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To make sense of Revelation we need to give full weight to the way in which John uses language, allusions, ideas and symbols from the Old Testament to express His visions. We also must take seriously the first century setting. A key purpose behind his writing is to encourage and challenge it’s recipients to be faithful in the battle they face against cultural pressures and persecution. It brings a message of hope for every generation of God’s people. Corrupt government and corrupt religion will not prevail. The lamb that was slain wins and His kingdom will never end!
